Cartoon Convention

a large gathering of cartoon characters socializes on a nicely decorated patio, all holding drinks and chatting in small groups. one group has a skinny sunburned fellow who says "Desert island, you?" and a man in business clothing says "Man walks into a bar" while a shark says "shark week". and a woman in a red bathing suit with a large bite out of her leg says with a grin "cool! I'm sharks too!" nearby a cat in suspenders says "Anthropomorphics." next to her is a cat in a trenchcoat and fedora, smoking a pipe. facing them is a dog sitting on the ground with a doggie dish full of wine, and this dog replies, "oh, right. you're the ones who wear clothes." elsewhere a man and woman strangle and hit each other with a frying pan while both saying "Husband-wife cartoons," to a man with no mouth who holds a sign reading "no text." at the bottom in italic serif text it reads, “they cut our budget for speech balloons. all we have now is captions.” “Who said that?” “I dunno.” “Not me.”

Casual Friday Equinox

everyone in the office is wearing half summer clothing and half winter clothing - a bikini top with ski pants, sweather with cutoff shorts, etc., and one office worker says to another: "This is what happens when the equinox falls on Casual Fridays."
