Education vs wisdom: volcano edition

TWO people standing near a volcano. One says, , “look, a Lahar!” The other says, “what?” The first one says, “ A lahar ( /ˈlɑːhɑːr/, from Javanese: ꦭꦲꦂ) is a violent type of mudflow or debris flow composed of a slurry of pyroclastic material, rocky debris and wate-“ as the other person is running away and the lava pours towards them. In the last scene the entire area is just cover3 in lava and mud. There is no one to be seen.

In Hell

scene: Hell. an underground cavern with a lake of lava and steam. Two sinners are up to their necks in fiery brimstone, and from a cliff above them a winged red demon pours a buck of hot lava onto their heads. One sinner says to the other, "It's not the heat, so much as the humidity."

Solstice Sacrifice


the edge of a caldera atop a volcano. deep in the pit bright red lava bubbles and steams. the sun is just rising. a woman in a white ceremonial dress, her arms tied behind her back, has just kicked a man, also in white ceremonial garb, into the crater. he falls screaming in fear towards the lava as the woman shouts, "you want a sacrifice? YOU make it!"
